What does it mean that the image is labeled "Actual Disc"?
What does it mean that the image is labeled "Actual Disc"?
The "Actual Disc" mark indicates that it is our own image of the exact disc you will receive. There will therefore be NO variation in color shades or stamp.
All discs marked "Actual Disc" are also weighed by us with precision scales. Since manufacturers often have a larger margin of error on the scale, you may experience receiving a product that is marked with a different weight.
We group discs that have identical colour, stamp and weight together, so you may find that there is more than 1 in stock of a disc marked "Actual Disc".
What weight should I choose?
What weight should I choose?
Short answer: Is there a difference of a couple of grams between the different variants? Then it doesn't matter much.
Long answer: In general, a lighter disc is often easier to throw for beginners, but is more affected by wind and can be perceived as less reliable. Furthermore, a lighter disc will "skip" forward less when it hits the ground. Experiment with different weights to discover the differences.
If you buy a disc under 170g, it is considered a "lightweight disc". It can be beneficial to experiment with lighter weights, especially for beginners and players who struggle to get up to speed on the disc.
Sonic is definitely a unique disc with incredible features that no other disc has. It only has 1 in speed, which means that you can trust that it will not float far past the curve. It has -4 in turn and 0 in fade which allows you to create some absolutely incredible lines. This MUST be tried!

My all time favorite catch-frisbee type disc. I first tried it in the dx plastic and immediately loved it, but the flight plate often cracks open when hitting trees with dx. So now that it has come out in the Halo plastic, cracking isn't a problem! It is extremely easy to manipulate, and it has the softest landing of any disc out there. Being a 1 speed understable disc, it requires the least amount of power to throw straight. It is excellent for upshots, throw ins, and putts. This is also an excellent disc to use for avoiding roll aways, working on touch with a slower disc, and playing catch (NivÄ pÄ anmelder: Viderekommen)
I know several people who love the Sonic and use every round; however, this disc just isn't for me.  The feel is awkward and I just couldn't get comfortable throwing it.  The flight was inconsistent and uncontrollable where it would either drop short or sail away from the target.  I know this isn't a popular opinion of the Sonic, but it will not be in my bag. Hard to nail down exact numbers for this thing, you just gotta throw it. This disc is unlike anything I've thrown, great for high, floaty, arching putts on anhyzer the whole way. I can trust this thing out to 65' and it just won't fade at all great for scrambles. (NivÄ pÄ anmelder: Viderekommen)
The halo star sonic has quickly become one of the favorite discs in my bag. Not just because it's pretty, but because it flies so well. That being said, the sonic is not a disc for everybody. This disc is not meant for distance, it is meant for touch. It was built for pitch and putt courses. Spin this thing out with height and hyzer and it will fly dead straight with no fade. Throw it high and flat and it will turn beautifully. It is very finicky though. If you overpower it, throw it with wobble, leave it low, or throw it on the wrong angle it will turn and burn on you. But if you treat it like a sonic it flies unlike any other disc. Although it is uncomfortable to hold, the sonic is great for learning touch. (NivÄ pÄ anmelder: Nybegynner)
The Sonic truly is one of the most beginner friendly discs for anyone coming from the background of ultimate or catch discs. Obviously very different than other putters or approach discs. It is very deep with a flat leading edge. There is the ridged thumb track on top very similar to an ultimate disc. (NivÄ pÄ anmelder: Middels)
