Hyzer og Anhyzer: Hva betyr det?

Hyzer and Anhyzer: What does it mean?

Hyzer: The disc is dropped at an angle to move to the left.
Anhyzer:
The disc is dropped at an angle to move to the right.
This applies to a right-handed backhand thrower.

For a right-handed forehand thrower, it is mirrored, so the disc will move to the right with a hyzer throw and to the left with an anhyzer throw. Hyzer is the angle with which it is easiest to achieve accurate and consistent throws.

Hyzer flip
Nevertheless, it does not mean that if you drop a disc at a hyzer angle that it will go to the left. This depends on the disc's stability and how much " turn " it has. If the disc is understable and the throw has enough power, the disc will "turn" or "flip over" to the right. Then you have performed a "hyzer flip" throw. This throw can be used with an understable disc to gain extra length.

For beginners, we recommend understable discs. When you've thrown a bit and start to gain speed on the disc, it's cool to try throwing at a hyzer angle and try to get the disc to straighten up in the air. Then you will unlock a new level of distance.

Active Genius is the easiest disc to "flip up" and gives beginners the best distance. If you eventually get a little more power , the Active Premium Rockstar will be very cool to throw. We therefore recommend buying these two together, so you can feel two different degrees of understability.

Flex Anhyzer

If you throw an overstable disc at the anhyzer, it will fight back to the left instead of continuing to the right. This throw can also be used to gain more distance, both for backhand and forehand.

For beginners, it can be good to start throwing understable discs on anhyzer. As you gain more power, you should try an Opto Explorer , which is quite overstable. Then it may also pay to get an even more overstable Star Firebird . Then you also get the opportunity to test out two different degrees of overstability.
